Alcohol Free Drink Reviews

We review 2 alcohol free beers and 2 wines this month, all can be found at leading supermarkets. Try these products out as alcohol free alternatives to soft drinks.

Warsteiner Lager

Warsteiner Lager This beer is available in a 330ml bottle. Pours crystal clear with a thin, fast-settling fluffy head, medium lacing and brief rising carbonation. Gold in colour. On the nose, the usual broad metallic biscuit malt of a low alcohol. In the mouth, thin texture, dry and mildly bitter, flavours of biscuit, buttered corn and honey, some sweetness with a short dry finish. Well worth a try for those who like German lagers.

Heineken Pils

Heineken Pils Available in 330ml in a 330ml bottle. Pours bright gold with a white head with medium retention. On the nose was soft grain, a subtle Pils and the lightest of larger. The scent was a sweet malt and meadow aromas with a sweet hay and caramel upfront turning to earthy sourdough in the bitter finish. A very enjoyable drink and one of the best AF lagers on the market.

Eisberg Rosé and Red (Cabernet Sauvignon) Wines

Eisberg Wines Both bottles come in a 75cl bottle. The Rosé has a subtle, fruity note whilst also offering a hint of the sharp bite you’d expect from a glass of Prosecco. as an unmistakably white grape taste but manages to avoid being overly sweet and has a dry piquant aftertaste. The Eisberg Cabernet Sauvignon is a very good AF red. Good with food as its dry and is excellent to make mulled wine too when you really wouldn't know that it was alcohol free.
